Trayvon Martin, Not Guilty

Trayvon Martin was killed because he was racially profiled.

And to deny that statement is like claiming slave owners didn't care about skin color.

However, this case is different than most others because it points out that racial profiling against African Americans is not only committed by "white" people.

George Zimmerman is a "mixed-race" Hispanic (I don't think Fox News realizes this yet). Some news organizations term him as a "white Hispanic." Well, does this make President Obama a "white black?" Someone explain to me how this works.

Stereotypes against blacks in our communities exist. It's safe to say that we all, at least once in our lifetime, locked our car doors when we passed through "the bad part of town" or stopped at a traffic light by a black homeless man on the side of the road.

We boast of our country's first black president and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day, but we become skeptical when our kids make black friends.

For a moment, forget about all the media speculations and political implications of the case. For a moment, let's just focus on the 17-year-old who did absolutely nothing to deserve death.

George Zimmerman is guilty. We are guilty.
